Purpose 

The Sport4All State Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in expanding inclusive sport for people with disability across Australian states and territories. Their role is grounded in strategic implementation, community impact, stakeholder partnership, and high-performance team leadership. 

Strategic Pillars of the Role 

• Inclusive Workforce Leadership 

• Lead, recruit, train, and support a high-performing team of Inclusion Coaches. 

• Embed an inclusive, purpose-driven team culture aligned with GSA’s values. 

• Provide leadership that models fairness, ethics, and professionalism. 

• Partner Acquisition and Relationship Management 

• Establish and manage partnerships with key stakeholders including: 

• Local Government Authorities (LGAs) 

• State Ministers 

• State Sporting Associations (SSAs) 

• Disability Sport Organisations 

• First Nations organisations 

• Schools and Education Departments 

• Negotiate service agreements and collaborate with new and existing partners to drive program expansion. 

• Community Engagement and Stakeholder Influence 

• Act as a connector and advocate across sport, government, education, and community networks. 

• Represent Sport4All at public forums, events, and strategic meetings to elevate program visibility and credibility. 

• Foster trust and alignment across sectors to drive cultural change in inclusive sport. 

• Program Implementation and Strategic Alignment 

• Translate national strategy into localised, state-level execution plans. 

• Oversee the rollout of Inclusion Coaches and local activities aligned to program milestones. 

• Identify inclusion gaps and drive state-specific responses to foster participation in sport. 

• Training, Coaching, and Capability Development 

• Guide and mentor Inclusion Coaches to deliver impactful, locally tailored inclusion strategies. 

• Foster ongoing professional development and ensure coaches are equipped to support schools, councils, and clubs. 

• Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance 

• Ensure high-quality, timely reporting on engagement, reach, and outcomes aligned with government requirements. 

• Maintain accurate data systems and contribute to national evaluation and compliance activities. 

• Promote alignment with legislation, organisational policies, and best practice inclusion standards. 

• Promotion and Impact Amplification 

• Support marketing and communication efforts to increase awareness and uptake of Sport4All initiatives. 

• Provide insights to national teams to shape messaging, campaigns, and promotional strategies that reflect state priorities.
