Onboarding Program Overview (6-Week Pathway)
Our onboarding process is structured over 6 weeks to ensure you gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver Sport4All programs independently. Completion of the GSA and Sport4All onboarding programs is integrated into this pathway.
Week 1: Orientation & Onboarding
- Introduction to Sport4All, values, policies, systems, and your mentor.
- Initial shadowing of meetings and sessions.
- Complete foundational GSA and Sport4All onboarding modules.
Week 2: Supported Learning
- Continue LMS modules and review key resources.
- Actively shadow your mentor or State Manager during club/school engagements.
- Begin contributing in small ways, such as observing Inclusion Check-Ins and taking notes.
Week 3–4: Guided Practice
- Take a more active role in sessions alongside your mentor or State Manager.
- Practice delivering parts of the program with support and feedback.
Week 5: Independent Practice with Oversight
- Deliver your first club or school engagement while being observed by your mentor or State Manager.
- Refine skills and build confidence with constructive feedback.
Week 6: Solo Delivery
- Confidently deliver Sport4All sessions independently.
- Continue to access mentor and State Manager support as needed, and engage with ongoing professional development.

Sport4All 6-Week Training & Onboarding Plan
Week 1 – Orientation & Foundations
Focus: Introduce values, systems, and compliance requirements.
Objectives:
- Welcome session with State Manager and mentor.
- Introduction to Sport4All and GSA: history, vision, values, and structure.
- Complete initial HR admin setup (XeroMe, email signature, SharePoint access).
- Begin mandatory compliance:
- WWCC check and submission
- Human Rights Commission Child Safety Modules
- Start GSA & Sport4All induction e-learning.
- Familiarise with internal communication tools (Teams, SharePoint).
- Read and acknowledge key policies (workplace behaviour, privacy, safety).
Week 2 – Supported Learning
Focus: Deepen understanding of inclusion principles and program tools.
Objectives:
- Continue online LMS modules (GSA & S4A).
- Shadow mentor or State Manager in 1–2 club/school engagements.
- Review “About the Disability Sector” section – identify key statistics and barriers.
- Learn to use administrative tools:
- Inclusion Coach Tracker
- Participation and reporting templates
- Draft personal bio and submit via the online form.
- Join Tuesday team meetings and introduce yourself to the wider group.
Week 3 – Guided Practice (Clubs & Schools Focus)
Focus: Begin applying learning in supported environments.
Objectives:
- Participate in planning and delivering inclusion check-ins with mentor.
- Observe how to facilitate discussions and complete inclusion action plans.
- Use marketing/promotional materials with guidance (posters, presentations).
- Practice using LMS and tracking engagement in the Participation Tracker.
- Reflect on lived experience and authenticity in engagement.
Week 4 – Independent Practice (Supervised)
Focus: Deliver portions of the program with structured feedback.
Objectives:
- Co-deliver club or school engagement session.
- Submit your first inclusion check-in report draft for review.
- Attend weekly meeting for feedback and professional development.
- Explore promotion opportunities:
- Present to a Youth Council or school assembly.
- Draft a short social post for State Manager approval.
- Continue LMS modules and start preparing your first reflection entry.
Week 5 – Independent Delivery with Oversight
Focus: Transition toward independent delivery and reporting.
Objectives:
- Lead your first club or school session, observed by your mentor/manager.
- Submit data and insights into the Tracker.
- Review outcomes and refine facilitation techniques.
- Discuss performance targets and expectations with your State Manager.
- Learn advanced SharePoint use and document management.
- Plan participation in upcoming inclusion events (e.g. IDPwD or Inclusion Week).
Week 6 – Consolidation & Reflection
Focus: Demonstrate capability and confidence for independent delivery.
Objectives:
- Deliver a full Sport4All session independently.
- Finalise completion of all e-learning and compliance requirements.
- Meet with mentor and State Manager to review progress and next steps.
- Complete post-onboarding reflection or feedback form.
- Update your Participation Tracker and submit a 6-week summary report.
- Schedule ongoing professional development (PD days, study leave planning).
Deliverables by End of Week 6
- All induction and compliance modules completed.
- Sport4All bio and signature setup.
- At least 2 club and 2 school engagements supported/delivered.
- Inclusion Check-In and Action Plan examples completed.
- Participation Tracker up to date.
- Reflection or feedback report submitted.
